National Venture Capital Association
The National Venture Capital Association is dedicated to defining, serving, and representing the interests of the venture capital and private equity industries. Formed in 1973 to foster understanding of the importance of venture capital to the vitality of the U.S. economy, the NVCA works to stimulate the flow of risk equity capital to emerging and developing companies. To this end, NVCA works with all branches of government and the media to promote public policy interests, supports timely research, hosts educational and networking forums, and provides its members with useful tools and information. ARCH's Steve Lazarus is a Director of NVCA.

Washington Alliance of Angels
The Alliance of Angels is a program of the Technology Alliance dedicated to nurturing the growth of new technology companies located in the Northwest region through the early stages of their development. A group of individual investors and representatives of investment corporations, this group uses an online, members-only resource to view business plans submitted by new technology companies. Selected early-stage companies then have the opportunity to present their business plans at AOA monthly membership meetings. Through this process, the AOA acts as a "matchmaker" for young technology companies and interested investors.
