Company history
ARCH Venture Partners became a private venture partnership after a
friendly separation from its predecessor company, ARCH Development
Corporation. Formed in 1986 by the Trustees of the University of Chicago,
ARCH Development Corporation was managed by ARCH founding partners.
Investment history
ARCH's first fund was launched in 1989. Its seventh fund, formed in
2007, brings total capital under management to nearly $1.5 billion.
Management
A partnership led by six managing directors; four of whom enjoy 20 years
of collaboration. They are joined by a team of venture partners,
principals, and advisors.
