Inca Dieterich is currently Co-founder and Vice President, Business Development of Vilya, an ARCH portfolio company. Inca is also a Venture Partner with ARCH working to source and evaluate investment opportunities across biotech and healthcare. She has been involved in company creation and portfolio operations, including as a Co-founder of RIPPL Care and on the founding team of Paradigm. Prior to ARCH, Inca was a Venture Entrepreneurial Fellow at Flagship Pioneering, where she created scientific venture opportunities.

Inca completed her B.A. in Biology from Occidental College. She holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she trained under Dr. Luigi Puglielli.

Her doctorate in Neuroscience focused on the molecular mechanisms and underlying biochemistry of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, as well as aging. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in Nature journals. Throughout her Ph.D. training, she was a biotech and healthcare consultant for startups in Madison, WI.

Prior to her Ph.D. studies, Inca conducted research with the Planetary Protection Group at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Simultaneously, she launched an international research project with the Organization for Tropical Studies in Costa Rica, Occidental College, and UCLA.
