Kristina Burow is a Managing Director at ARCH Venture Partners and has played a central role in shaping the firm’s life sciences strategy since joining in 2002. Over the past two decades Ms. Burow has focused on the creation and development of companies that advance transformative therapies and redefine standards of care. She works with founders and entrepreneurs to build these companies to successfully develop medicines and products that better human health outcomes.

Ms. Burow is a co-founder and director of Neumora Therapeutics (NMRA), and is a director of Scholar Rock (SRRK), Boundless Bio (BOLD), Mirador Therapeutics, Architect Therapeutics, Autobahn Therapeutics, Pretzel Therapeutics, Tenvie Therapeutics, Treeline Biosciences, and Magnet Biomedicine, among others. She previously was a co-founder and director of Receptos (RCPT – acquired by Celgene), Orbital Therapeutics (acquired by Bristol Myers-Squibb), Vividion Therapeutics (acquired by Bayer AG) and Metsera (MTSR – acquired by Pfizer), and a former director at Beam Therapeutics (BEAM), Gossamer Bio (GOSS), and Vir Biotechnology (VIR), among others. Ms. Burow has participated and led investments in a number of other ARCH portfolio companies including Amplitude Therapeutics, Aspen Neuroscience, CREATe Medicines, Aledade, Erasca (ERAS), Kura Oncology (KURA), Kythera Biopharmaceuticals (KYTH – acquired by Allergan), and Ikaria (acquired by Mallinckrodt).

As an early employee at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF), she directed Chemistry Operations and was active in Business Development where she helped create numerous companies as spinouts from GNF.

Ms. Burow holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Chemistry from Columbia University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley where she was a division 1 swimmer.
