Peter Mintun, Ph.D. is an Associate with ARCH Venture Partners, joining the company full-time in 2021.
Dr. Mintun focuses on identifying and evaluating new physical sciences technologies and assisting early-stage portfolio companies. Dr. Mintun is a physical scientist by training and brings extensive subject-matter expertise in fields such as quantum technologies, molecular engineering, optics, and materials science. Prior to ARCH, Dr. Mintun was part of the first graduate student cohort of the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at University of Chicago. His scientific research has been published in top-tier journals including Nature and Science and covered in popular press outlets such as The New York Times. During his time at University of Chicago, he was engaged in the Lab to Launch program at Booth and was an Innovation Fund Associate, evaluating startups from the University in the therapeutics and healthcare IT spaces.
He holds a Ph.D. from the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago. He completed his B.S. in Engineering Physics with Honors from Cornell University.
